Well, you can either do this from a console prompt, or you
can use the file manager built into whichever window
manager you use for this. Create a "bookmark" in your file
manager which points to /mnt/cdrom (or wherever you've
mounted the CDROM.)

Well, it depends... if it wants to write a "temporary" file
in the location where it's run from, it may be tricky
because the cd is a read-only medium (even CDRW disks are
when they're mounted for READING purposes...) Generally,
it's probably a good idea to copy the executeable file to a
location where you can easily run it from...on your hard
disk somewhere....
