Ok. I'll admit, I'm COMPLETELY out of my league here, but I *think*
pppd is for dialing OUT only, not for answering incoming calls. I
think you will have to investigate this some more as I'm not sure how
you set up to answer the phone and do authentication, etc. However,
I'm *pretty* sure (especially after glancing at the pppd man page)
that ppp is for dial-OUT only.
