Any changes made to the machine you're trying to ftp into? If you've
made any changes, it's possible you've somehow disabled the FTP
server or made changes to the hosts.allow file.
Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you. Make sure you've
got the FTP server running. (ps aux | grep ftp should do it.)
