well , not so much the via as much as the ali. i have a new box in the
making, it is a dfi mb w/ the via chipset(udma/66-133mhz bus). i have
talked to a lot of people both in person and on irc, none have said
anything good about the via chipset. most stating that it is more of a
kernel-wide thing with total utilitization of the via chipset. from what
you are saying tho , there is was to get the most out of the chipset
with kernel patches, but i just went through an extencive battle with
this ali chipset that i have right now. so im kinda tainted on this
chipset and weiry on the via one. no flame takin'. :)
