: Holy grail? Don't remember mentioning that =)

: And it's GdkPixbuf, not Pixmap. You obviously don't know the first thing
: about it, so I will explain.

Rule #1 for mailing list/newsgroup for discussions where you have been
caught being dumb: distract everyone else by telling the audience that
the other guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

So I mistyped one time. As you can see from my previous post, I know it's
GdkPixbuf. Has the almighty Tom never once mistyped something? You're
becoming pretty juvenile. Grow up, or we'll have to call your mommy.

No, there is no confusion here, other than what you're reading into the
situation.

: Also, the current Mandrake is a long, long way from being "few things
: here & there, add/subtract a few packages". It is a very different
: distribution, with its own strengths and weaknesses.

Note that I didn't say a thing about Mandrake *TODAY* (ie 7.0). I said
*DID*, which was take RedHat, drop in pgcc and update all the packages to
the absolute latest, less or more stable, and rebuild them all with lots
of optimization.

: How this is relavent to the thread I'm not sure...

It's relevant in that you're very vocally unhappy with RedHat. The beauty
of the Linux world is that if you don't like how one group is doing it,
you're free to go and do it your own way.

: Now grow up some please and stop making a fool of yourself :)

Maybe you need to take a bit of your own medicine there, eh Doctor?

EOT, as far as I'm concerned. You want to call someone a fool and tell
them they don't know what they're talking about? Look elsewhere.
