Thanks Matt ..this worked ...I booted to a prompt but now it won't accept
my root password and I KNOW it is correct. When I installed I created the
root and password AND a user with password. RH 6.1 is the first time I have
seen this option in the install routine.
Linux will let me log on as the user but when I try to login as root as get
this
PAM-securetty[152]; errors opening /etc/security
password:
and then it won't accept the correct password ...what now ?? should I not
have created the user during the install process ? do I have to reinstall
to get in ?
