I have a new install of Linux RH 6.1. I choose a Custom / install
everything on a 3 GB partition with a 150 meg Swap partition. Everything
went smoothly and I had a successful install but on reboot the boot failed
at this point

      Bringing up eth0 Oops: 000
followed by a bunch of numbers and code.

I tried booting off the floppy and it stops at the exact same place and
way. Then I tried cleaning off the drive and installing again....same
problem. It looks like it is hanging up on my NIC.

My NIC is a CNET Pro 120C which is the Macronix clone of the Dec Tulip.
I do have a Linux driver for it but the install program set it up without
questions.
So how to I solve this if I can't boot up ? ?

thanks
