Hi.
Trying to get X working with Open PT80 video (SiS 6326). It's listed as
supported by XFree-SVGA, (I have 3.3.5) but doesn't seem to be 100%
Okay, so it will 'work' to some extent. Seems to be useable (but far
from perfect) at 24 bit and 800x600. Other modes are a total wipeout.
Text becomes just black blocks, window decorations vanish, various parts
of the screen don't update, etc... Eg, my Netscape toolbar is currently
B/W. That sort of thing. Don't appear to be able to get 1024x768. Bummer
:-)
Anyone had any luck with this card and are there other servers that
might work better (free, preferably) like latest XFree etc. Anything
else to tweak in the XFConfig...
Thanks for any help guys, my only previous experience has been with
integrated SiS motherboard chips which seemed to work fine.
