        That's a real bummer, losing your data like that. I feel for you! I did
that once a few years ago. I had had a really hard day and had come home
and had several drams of single malt whisky and wasn't paying as close
attention as I should have been. I canned about two gigs worth of my
stuff. Afterwards, I had several more drams of whisky and forgot about
it till the next morning :-) 
        Looking on the bright side of things, the RedHat installer is like
auto-pilot compared to installing some Linuxes. You should try
installing Debian sometime, it will make you appreciate all the hard
work and great lengths the boys from Durham have gone to in order to
make their disto easy to work with the Intel, Sparc and Alpha platforms.
