Yes, the pilot-link packages do well for system backup, uploading memos,
installing programs, etc.

However,  this package doesn't have a nice GUI interface to read your memos,
update your address book, etc.  But there is another package, Kpilot, which does
these things -- although I'm not too fond of it. :(  The Kpilot package is a
qt/KDE program.

I just wish 3com would do the right thing and port their sync application to
Linux or Java.  I've sent them a nice note, but they ignored it.

If I didn't know perl, I could learn C (I just can't learn C, now that I know
perl so well.  Why would I want to write a 5 line hello-world progran in C when
I can do it in 1 with perl?)
and if I knew C, I would write the damn thing myself, since it's once of those
'itches' I have.
