Is ColdFailure THAT much better under Linux? We evaluated it under NT,
(on a server that was a clean NT/IIS4/SP5 box), and found it to be a
resource inhaling monster that loved to crash..
Under NT, we thought of it as a complete disaster, which solidified our
direction of using PHP, rather than CF, and helped us move further away
from anything ASP. Currently, there's exactly ONE app that still uses ASP
(because the customer demands ASP/SQL7), but no CF at all, just PHP. The
PHP sites are well-behaved and easy to maintain. Plus, no "little"
security holes that show up just from installing the docs, a la BOTH
CF and ASP.
