Once I got staroffice to recognize all the fonts on my system
(when I first tried using it for this graphics thing, it only
saw/used about a handful of fonts...NONE of which were mono-
spaced) it worked perfectly and is absolutely WYSIWYG.  What
I draw on the screen, over/on/under the text matches exactly
what comes out of the printer.  If this hadn't worked out, I
would have had to use the macs at the university and
Freehand.

It's true that lots of apps are available for Windows and not Linux.

the opposite is also true. I have not had real good luck with WYSIWYG
producing accurate rendition on paper for MSW/Windows. I'm probable
not
skilled enough at it.
