I agree. A friend of a friend (cue the urban myth music) who bought a 450MHz
Pentium PC (well, the kit, anyway) via eBay... for $400. Good luck to him: I
remember a new item about someone bidding for & buying a "rare beanie baby"
which turned out to be a regular beanie baby with the ears torn off, or
something like that.

Incidentally, I can't buy from www.tufware.com because they won't take
international credit cards (even though WalMart, the INS and my attorney
happily take my visa card). How dumb is that?

They cost more, yes, but i rather spend my money on sth that works than on
sth where i have to be aware of malfunctions every day - as my experience
shows it is with Maxtor drives. Especially in technics cheap doesn't mean
always good, most of the time the opposite.
