You're right Chuck....unless You want to upgrade to 2.2.13 kernel
and still boot on raid 1 which I can not figure out how to do.

mkinitrd as You suggested did not work so I am probably
going to raid ONLY the mounts i have data on. This means
that in case of disk failure I will have to reinstall but
have my data intact.

Sounds much more easy to maintain than booting on the raid.

Other opinions?

As there's been some comment made about RAID lately I thought I'd pass
along
that I'm using RAID1 in the kernel from a fresh Cartman install and it's

outstanding! A little trouble understanding how to get it working during
the
install but now that it's done it's really, really nice!
