Because I discovered the hard disk crash during the latter part of my lunch
hour, I didn't get a chance to troubleshoot the problem.

So, tonight I shut down the system and check the power cables and EIDE
cable.  Everything appeared A-OK.  I turn on the power and run the BIOS
HD config.  Damn if the BIOS doesn't see the drives.

Needless to say, I am back up and running, not knowing for sure where the
problem lies.

One less HD failure for Maxtor :-)
