You are going to be surprised that I in fact agree with you but I've been on this long enough to get criticized for both situation.
Yes, I do see your point. Besides, I'll admit that it bothers me more when people do things out of ignorance or laziness; if you have made a conscious choice to post this way, I will probably ignore some of your posts (too lazy to go looking through all the text for your comments), but I won't get mad at you.
You just happen to be on the keep it short list, there are those who say that if the previous replies are not included then they have to read the thread to keep up.
Here I disagree. Good netiquette is to trim and keep the necessary or useful text (doesn't say short, says useful) since many people do pay for traffic so the more you type the more they pay. That, and the fact that each word you keep is multiplied by 10,000 or so since it goes to every member on this list... so there is a big impact when you keep 50 lines.
I know that there are those who say "keep everything" but I generally believe this is rude, suffers from short-term memory loss or lack of attention, and shows a large lack of consideration for other people.
