Well, I just read about RH "opening up the development process" to outsiders, over on ZDNet. *Then* I read the "system requirements" for 10: 200MHz for *non-graphical*, 400MHz for graphical...*minimum*.
Does RedHat think they're the next M$?
I run 9 on a P133 w/32MB, run in text mode as a server, total install in 300MB. You can do anything you want; change WM, change desktop, use more or less as you please.
However, RH figures out what most people will want to use, and recommends a minimum 200 MHz machine for those likely needs. They're not forcing you, nor is it impossible to use on different hardware.
What's your beef, and why are you whining so hard?
