The 3dFX video system is fully supported under Linux. However, there is a
slight performance degradation because the OpenGL support under Linux is a
full OpenGL driver whereas under Windows it is only enough to run the
game. Because the driver is more complex it is a little slower. But not
very much! Otherwise the game runs fine, and the software renderer is
even a little faster than the Windows version.
