I tried to resize the partition on a machine that had been formatted using
FAT32 but
FIPS does not resize such partitions type.

Is there a way to overcome this so I can safely gain some space in which I
can Install
Linux?

Will Partition Magic do this? I've never tried it before and I don't know
much about it.

thanX in advance to you all
