I'm just wondering what that "recommended" is based on. But even for installing: A text-mode install should use minimal resources, IMO. RHL4.2/5.2 installed on 8MB machines in text-mode - and the installed has not improved *that* much since as to warrant the extra horsepower required, IMO. On the other hand, I don't expect this to change anymore, as RH is clearly going the "business" direction, with home users as an afterthought. Makes sense moneywise, of course. Though, when my firewall still was just a firewall, a 486 or a Sparc IPX would suffice. :-) Cheerio, Thomas -- ==> RH List Archive: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=redhat-list&r=1&w=2 <== ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Ribbrock http://www.ribbrock.org "You have to live on the edge of reality - to make your dreams come true!" -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
