On what system? Did you only change the opperating-system or anything 
else (hardware) aswell? I'm having a strange problem myself which I 
already reported to the list and which appears with both RH 7.3 and 
RH 8.0 (including current patches). I suspect this is due to the 
Maxtor-harddisks in the server. Now changed to Seagate-ones. Will 
have to pray for the next evenings (high-load-time) for the box to 
survive - but today it did :-)

Maybe your having something similar?
