This happens regardless of using Metro-X or XF86.
Everything starts up just fine, and things are looking beautiful! Then, it
will dump me out (if I'm lucky) without an error message visible anywhere,
or it will completely freeze the system. This is only happening in X.
I've already tried swapping video cards. Heck, I've even gone as far as
installing Solaris (but that's another story) but that lead to different
problems...
I'm completely at a loss. I really want to get this box up and running,
and I'd prefer to be using RH5. I do have a copy of Slackware (perish the
thought!) :o)

I either missed it or didn't have an answer. What were the specifics
(Xserver, Linux version, hardware, any errors, etc.)
