We have an RH5.0 machine functioning as an ftp server for our clients;
each client has their own home directory and login. The directories all
have read/write/execute permissions for the owner, as do all the files
in them, but when I ftp to the machine as one of our users, ls comes
back blank. I can get files if I know the names or use wildcards, but
no ls.
If I telnet as the user (which we don't allow for outside connections
but which I can do internally), the files list just fine.
What am I doing wrong?
