Having upgraded to 5.0 I'm having trouble installing xemacs.
I saw a posting recently with a similar problem, but saw no
answer.
I've downloaded xemacs-el-20.4-1.i386.rpm and if I try to rpm -i it
I get:
failed dependencies:
xemacs = 20.4 is needed by xemacs-el-20.4-1
So what is going on and how should I fix it. I also tried:
rpm -i xemacs-20.2-7.i386.rpm
for that package and I get:
failed dependencies:
libpng.so.1 is needed by xemacs-20.2-7
I installed libpng.so.1 in /usr/lib

How do I get rpm to recognize libpng.so.1 ??
Help would be greatly appreciated.
