Hey all,
I'm setting up one of my Linux boxes(RH 5.0) to act as a print
server for several Linux systems and a Win 95 system, using Samba to let the
Win system print to it. I can currently see the Linux system(sol) from
eclipse(95 system) in Network Neighborhood, when I try to access any
resources on sol I get a password prompt. It looks like Samba wants to map
the Win 95 username, which contains a space(WIN login: Scott Wegener) to an
equivalent Linux username, which of course can't work due to the space..so:

1. Is there a way to map/translate a Win username into a valid unix login,
eg map 'Scott Wegener' to swegener, scottwegener, etc?

2. Failing that, can I allow unpassworded access to the shared printer from
any user on eclipse? Really at a minimum want to limit this to users on
eclipse only.

3. Any chance I can get someone to give me a decent explanation of the
'guest' account for Samba? I'm assuming that this is related to what I need
to know with respect to #2 above, but have been unable to get this to work
correctly at this point, so I may be missing the relevant part of the docs
and sample config file..

Please CC any response to me as I do subscribe to the list but only in the
digest form, thanks in advance and happy Linuxing :)
