I have a problem when I boot my linux system. (I'm running win95/linux, so
I can't stay in linux all the time :/ ) First of all, I am running redhat
5.0. I just installed this system so I went and got all the relevant errata
updates. Then when I tried to boot my system, init stops at the line that
says "starting system loggers:" .. It just sits there. I tried going back
to old versions of SysVinit and sysklogd but that didn't help any. Also,
when I try and reboot (ctrl-ald-del) it goes into the normal reboot
(switching runlevels) but stops at "Stopping kerneld.." and won't go on.
I am completely mystified.. what is the problem?
