The answer to your wondering is in the post. I think Red Hat has a strict
policy of selling only GPLed software, excepting software from companies
with whom they have deals (MetroLink, EST, Real Networks...). Seems to me
though, if they can loosen their GPL policy w/r/t companies they have
deals with, they ought to be able to loosen it w/r/t individuals that are
giving away non-GPLed stuff. It has to be easier to ask a person for
permission than it is to cut a bidniss deal with a software company...
