I've always asked why qmail hasn't been included in redhat, esp since even
redhat uses it. People have always come back and said you'd have to
compile it later, so it couldn't be done, I'd then say that the installer
could do that, or a script later on....well:
Check out DJ Bernstein's qmail pages and you'll find this, "If you want to
distribute modified versions of qmail (e.g., different packaging formats,
porting changes, precompiled binaries) you'll have
to get my approval. This does not mean approval of your distribution
method, your intentions, your e-mail address, your haircut, or any
other irrelevant information. It means a detailed review of the exact
package that you want to distribute. "
If we can get approval to include a binary of qmail (even as an option to
sendmail) would there be any other reasons not to?
