AAHHHHh!! okay.. i have tried to install RH 5.0 several times on my computer, (compaq
presario 4712, monster 3d,
maxtor 8 7000d8, quantum bigfoot, 40 megs of ram, 166mhz) and i succeded once, and
that was when i did just linux, but then i tried to get it to do a dual
boot thing with win95, and it failed. you see, windows is setup on the quantum bigfoot
with 2.5 gigs, and then the maxtor hard-drive is on a ultra ide
controller, and i want to set up 3 gigs for linux on the maxtor, except linux doesnt
even see this hardrive.. if i attach it to the motherboard instead of the
ultra ide controller, it recondnizes it, but not the quantum. how do i get it to see
the light? is it possible for it to see both harddrives?
also, what is the best linux manual? i am a total newbie to linux. 8) thank you
muches..
