I could understand recommending against Adaptec SCSI controllers (due to poor support from Adaptec), but what's wrong with the Asustek one? I've used that and the Diamond Fireport 40, both of which use the Symbios 53C875 chip, and had good results with both. There's nothing wrong with BusLogic cards, but they're more expensive than the Asustek, and I haven't seen any evidence that they are noticably better.
