This was a difficult work-around to only having the option
to play the game from $CWD containing game files. Its been
a bit since I was looking into this, but maybe we can just
add some hard-coded paths (or soft-coded, via SUBST_CMD on
src files?) to not need the config file at all...

I did try for this a bit when I saw Brian had put this on openbsd-wip,
since I also had my own copy for awhile. However, Brian pointed out
the extra files coming with the Veterans Edition of the game might add
a bit of fluff to /usr/local/share/doom, which is the standard DOOMWADDIR
location for all the doom ports in tree presently.

Perhaps there is a way, by adding some paths ourselves as I mentioned
above, that we could end up with the best of both worlds?
