He didn't finish the job; changing to CONFIGURE_STYLE=gnu didn't work
for me.
I also like tedu@'s suggestion of renaming it to silver-searcher, but if
you're dead set against it I'm not going to argue.
FWIW, with those changes it works for me on amd64, with admittedly light
testing.
On second thought, I'm not entirely sure pcre is a BUILD_DEP.
that should just be in LIB_DEPENDS.
