I was talking to one of the developers in eduke32, according to him redistributing packages for the binaries is fine. The shareware data apparently has some further restrictions.. you have to distribute not only the GRP file but all the files including the DOS executables.
Having a seperate port for installing the shareware/retail data files is a good idea, users can either build that.. or grab the .GRP file for themselves. Maybe a message explaining that after installing? Hmm. Not sure. :-) -Bryan.
