(just passing by, not reading mail much) iirc, patch-toolkit_components_downloads_DownloadUIHelper_jsm is the one supposed to unlocalize directory names for the case of downloads. the only drawback is that if ~/Downloads doesnt exist, firefox will create it iirc, but it wont be usable for saving until firefox is restarted. If my memory is correct, and the behaviour might have changed in firefox since the patch was introduced. Landry
