When testing ports you must always use a recent developer snapshot (-current). The way ports handles checksums has recently changed in -current, which is why this has failed. Even if you recreate the checksums, you will still hit problems (with anything other than a recent -current). What you can do if you don't have a spare box for this purpose, install qemu and install a snapshot into the virtual machine.
