Aargh, one thing I had in my tree but not in the sent tarball: -PKGNAME = rnnoise-20210312 +PKGNAME = rnnoise-0.0.0.20210312 So once upstream uses versions, we have better changes of doing a regular update rather than having to bump EPOCH because 20210312 is greater than 1.0 or so. What do other porters think in general about such ports that are unversioned upstream? I went for 0.0.0.date as that's used in a few other ports: $ rg -t make '^(V|PKG|DIST).*=.*0\.0\..*' /usr/ports/ ... /p/fonts/siji/Makefile 4:DISTNAME = ${GH_PROJECT}-0.0.0.20190218 ... /p/comms/dump1090/Makefile 4:DISTNAME = ${GH_PROJECT}-0.0.0.20200203 Some use 0.0.date but a.b.c are common version schemes, so better use 0.0.0.date here. New tarball with all feedack and above hunk included.
