Aside from the space which is an issue for those running on CF, I 
thought it was good security practice to install only what you will
need.  Minimal installs are more secure than those that have dozens of
unused binaries that could each have potential coding flaws.

This is OpenBSD, isn't it?

I too am irked when I need to install X11 on a firewall that is simply
generating graphs, just as I was in the old days, when the Java 
developers made me do a full X11 install on my Solaris app servers even
though they were going to run headless in a datacenter because they were
generating GIF images on the fly or something like that.  No security
nightmare there!
