I use it regurarly. Some changes (for the better - simpler configuration) in later updates. Only issue has been that it, for no obvious reason, disconnects after 6-7 hours.
I only access one VPN using vpnc, though, and I do not know anything above what I need to know just to get it running. But it (decently) "just works". :-)
