Exactly, which rolls right into having TWO 8.5x11 documents opened side 
by side, readable, without zooming.

Current large widescreen's are sooo much cheaper than they used to be 
though. You can get a screen that is bigger in any direction than a 4:3 
screen of a couple years ago for a lesser price.

I don't know a single 'creative' type you could convince to get back 
into a 4:3 monitor. As for the coder type, I remember 4:3 monitors that 
you could rotate 90 deg back then too. The newer wide screens make that 
approach even better.

I think you just need to take the plunge. I wouldn't want to go back 
having used them for a couple years now.
