I plug it into the USB port, mount it as a drive, and cp files on and off (it's formatted VFAT). Simple. The other side of music playing that still eludes me is on the desktop. For reasons no one has yet been able to help me determine, audacious segfaults when I try to invoke it (and it's part of the Slackware-12.2 distribution), and xmms2 won't configure to build because it cannot find the local installation of sqlite3. Checkmate. I have cmus installed, but it will not see all the .mp3 files in the directory, and I've not figured this one out, either. Sometimes both stations on the radio (KMHD and KBPS) have either too much talk or music I don't like while I'm working so I'd like to be able to get sounds I want from the .mp3 files on the hard drive here.
