People go off an do their own thing in an un-coordinated manner when there is a significant problem that's not being solved, that problem has existed for a while without being addressed, and there is no clear direction or centrally coordinated plan for solving it.

The way to prevent the creation of breeze-qqc2-style would have been to fix the memory and performance issues of the plasma style and qqc2-desktop style that made them unsuitable for PlaMo.

Now that this option off the table, it can still be used to make qqc2-breeze-style obsolete so we can migrate back to one of the existing options, if that's a goal. And this will pay dividends for non-PlaMo users too. So it seems like to move forward, we should do a performance and efficiency blitz on the Plasma and qqc2-desktop styles.
