Back in January my doctor told me I have diabetes. It's not so bad I have to
check my blood sugar every day yet, just once a week so far.
But one of the things I am having to do is attend "healthy cooking" classes.
Today was "Garlic Parmesan Zucchini Noodles" and "Braised Cod w/Leeks".
I already know how to cook healthy, my problem is my kitchen is still torn up.
I've been working on it, but progress is slow. Just for a lark I decided to stop
by the Habitat for Humanity "Re-Store" and see if there was anything I could
use. As it turned out ...
Got a full depth 36" lazy-Susan base cabinet & a 24" double door base cabinet.
Heavy birch plywood, no particle board; no measuring out from the wall to make
it come out to 36". Dark mahogany stain, so I guess I know what color my kitchen
is going to be once I get it finished. The pair cost me less than half what the
lazy-Susan cabinet alone would have cost retail.
Neighbor across the street helped me move it in & sit it in place where it's
going to be when I install it.
Photos later. I've got a photography club meeting in half an hour & I still need
to take a shower. It was 80°F out there today.
