I remember Jimmy's Harborside along with Steuben's/The Cave, Durgin-Park ... a long time ago.

I miss the "old Boston" seafood restaurants around the foodie pier.
Anthony's Pier 4 and Johnny's Harborside Inn were fantastic. Johnny's
Harborside Inn in particular was great, and a favorite hangout of John
F Kennedy and his mafia buddies to boot. They apparently closed down
during the Great Recession.

Legals has very good "chowdah". It seems to vary by location. The
one near MIT in Kendall square seems to be very good consistently
(when I have been there). But I think that Union is a notch above the
rest, must be some secret ingredient! The historic atmosphere is
definitely better, but it can be rather touristy in the summer.

Yum, Union Oyster House... Been there a few times when I lived there.
Some of the best Lobster, and for sure the best clam chowder.
