This morning my PC greeted me with a few simple beeps - one long and three short. It then booted but the screen was blank. I reseated the video card and nothing changed. I then pulled some of the RAM and it booted without a probelm. Put hte ram back in and it seems to be working fine. I have double checked the manual and the beeps mean video card failure.

Been a few years since I bought any PC gear. What are the current standards in video cards? Assuming that I need to get one, I would like to get something intending primarily to use it with Photoshop. I am currently using an NVidia GTS 250 with 1 gig of RAM - probably pretty rudimentary by current standards. But, of course, I don't want to shell out an arm and a leg...
