Shel, I've got a pair of "vise-grip" pliers with a #20 screw welded on it in two places. With that and a small ball head, I have a tripod always.
On the way home from San Diego this Xmas, I mistakenly left it in my carry on. I had to return to the front counter and box it up. The airlines gave me a big box and some tape. The pliers were loose inside, and made a racket. They failed to get them off the plane for me in Chicago, so they were lost. At 11:30 PM on New Years Eve, somebody delivered the box! I was glad to see them as I don't know if they are still made. Regards, Bob S. I thought I'd share it with the list, and maybe try to find another one. Has anyone else ever seen/used one of these? Admittedly it has its limitations, but for such a small item it's certainly handy.
