Dave - I only have experience with the Omaha Camera Club. I've been a member for several years. You can see a bit about how the club operates at www.OmahaCameraClub.net.
One of the activities is a monthly "contest." There is a category with an assigned topic every month, similar to the pug. My participation in this has been spotty, but this is a pretty good motivator to get out and shoot. It's an interesting group, made up of everything from beginners to pros. It's a good way too learn about other viewpoints. These type of clubs must have been what people did before the Internet. gs George Sinos -------------------- [email protected] www.georgesphotos.net plus.georgesinos.com On Sun, Dec 18, 2011 at 9:13 AM, David J Brooks <[email protected]> wrote: > An acquaintance of mine (his wife is a bus drive so we have meet a few > times) is slowly starting a photography club here in Stouffville.
