Here we go. I had some strong backlighting and underexposed the subject horribly. K-7, ISO 800, with the exposure pushed in LR by +2.00 The two files have exactly the same processes - one is just a "virtual copy" of the other with the only difference being the "Process 2003" or "Process 2010" for the RAW converter. It's not perfect, but it's a good example of the differences. http://charles.robinsontwins.org/photos/2010/noise_process_2003.jpg and http://charles.robinsontwins.org/photos/2010/noise_process_2010.jpg I still think in this case that it's an unusable image. But it's a lot better with the new process. Many other images in here have gone from "I guess it's alright" to "hey, not bad at all!" -Charles -- Charles Robinson - [email protected] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org http://www.facebook.com/charles.robinson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
