I have the powerpak III that Pentax sells using 'C' batteries. It seems to work about as well as my Quantum Battery 2 packs that I used with my metz and Pentax potato masher units. Recycle times are fairly close. I found one minor advantage with the Pentax unit in that when you have to do long sets of pics, you can install another set of batteries when yours run out. Of course, the downside is that you have to buy them each time.
