I'm the opposite here Rick, i like a bigger, heavier body. Much like mine.

I have not tried the D700, but it appears to be the same size as the
D200 or D300, and that size of camera body fits my hands well and the
D200 and 70-200 2.8 VR balances nicely, even with the weight of that
lens.

If Pentax comes out with a K-7x(with the Kx sensor which seems to be a
keeper) faster AF and a more reliable flash meter system, i'll
probably try that.
