I can't do the night shots I like to do with my Pentax cameras without having to resort to long & tedious Photoshop sessions, or taking multiple frames & image stacking. The higher frame rate & faster AF is very handy on those occasions when I shoot action too. And as Luka said a usable ISO 6400 is very, very useful. These features may not be worth the somewhat steep price tag for most people, but they were for me.
Someone on the other forum mentioned one time that the K20 made ISO 400 the new ISO 100 or some such. The D700 makes ISO 3200 the new ISO100.
